Refund policy

We completely understand that unexpected situations can occur, and we are happy to help guide you through the refund process. Buying an electric scooter or any high-value product (such as WT2 AI Translator) can be a big decision. Therefore, we encourage all our customers to do their proper due diligence before purchasing as we only accept exchange/return on certain conditions specified below. You can reach our dedicated customer support team through our Live Chat on our website for any product questions or advice.


All of our online orders qualify for a 14-day exchange or return* that starts from the date of delivery as indicated by the tracking information or the pickup email notification provided by TekTrendy. Please note that all our online purchases are brand new products and are manufacturer sealed (i.e. two white strips on scooter boxes, or plastic cover). We do not sell any used products on our online store.

In addition, please note two important conditions for our refund policy:


Manufacturing Defects: We only accept exchange or return for any issue deemed a manufacturing defect specified in our warranty policy. Exchange or return for any product that has been used for reasons other than manufacturing defects is not allowed. Let us be very clear - we DO NOT accept returns of used products. Please leverage our LiveChat, blog posts, or phone line to educate yourself on the available options, before committing to a purchase.

If you suspect your product has issues right out of the box, please contact us within three days after receiving the product through our email support@tektrendy.com with your order number and a description of the issue, along with photo/video documentation to help us diagnose the problem.

If you believe your product has an issue, we will ask you to ship the product back to our third-party suppliers or us to investigate further. In most cases, we will be able to fix your issue and ship the product back to you at no cost. In the event that we are unable to fix your product due to a manufacturing defect, we will either ship you a new unit or offer a refund. 


The number of Exchange/Return Allowed: We will only accept one product exchange or return per customer, per year; multiple exchanges or returns are not allowed. 

Please note that TekTrendy reserves the right to refuse this refund policy for any type of Return Abuse or Fraud - These types of illegal actions are not allowed, and TekTrendy reserves the right to refuse chargebacks if items are not the same or purchased with the intention to return. TekTrendy also reserves the legal rights to protect its products and brand reputation. 

 

Procedures for Exchange or Return (Electric Scooters & Smart Electronics)

 

1. Cancelling your order before shipping

If the order has not been shipped yet, we will be able to immediately process your full refund. The refund usually takes 2-5 business days to be credited back to your original payment method, and you will receive an email notification when the process is initiated. 

2. Product has been shipped or delivered, but not opened yet

If the product remains unused (i.e. Two white packaging strips are not removed, and the box must be in brand new condition), a refund for the product is eligible. Simply email the TekTrendy Support team within 14 days of the delivery to initiate the process. Our team will provide you with a return shipping label printed and taped onto your box (please cover the initial label), then please drop off your item at the corresponding courier’s drop-off point will take care of the rest. Please note TekTrendy will not be held responsible for any losses and damages during return, and will not issue a refund until the product is delivered, and proof of purchase is provided.

When the product is returned, received and inspected by our quality control team, the return shipping fees and any additional restocking fees, if applicable, will be deducted from your refund, and the balance will be credited back to your original method of payment. The return shipping estimates are provided below:

  • Eastern Canada: $80 return shipping
  • Central Canada: $90 return shipping
  • Western Canada: $100 return shipping
  •  

    A $50 flat fee will apply for any return. An additional charge may occur for any boxes that have been damaged (holes or large rips in the box, etc.). We encourage our customers to take pictures or videos of their boxes on the same day they receive the products.

    Accessories: Please note we don’t accept returns for all the accessories or scooter parts. 

    Additional Notes For Smart Electronics: 

    When open box electronic is returned, received and inspected by our quality control team, the return shipping fee, if applicable, and an additional restocking fee will be deducted from your refund, and the balance will be credited back to your original method of payment. 

    We may reject a refund under the following conditions:

    × Refund is requested beyond 14 days of receiving a product;

    × Failure to provide legal proof of purchase, receipts, or invoices, or are reasonably believed to have been forged or tampered with;

    × A product sent back does not include all original accessories, attachments, and packaging, or contained items damaged by user errors;

    × A product is found to have no defects after all appropriates tests conducted by TekTrendy;

    × Any damage caused by unauthorized use or modification of the product, including damages caused by exposure to moisture, entry of foreign materials (water, oil, sand, etc.) or improper installation or operation;

    × Product labels, serial numbers, waterproof marks, etc. show signs of tampering or alteration;

    × Damage caused to the product by uncontrollable external factors, including fire, floods, lightning strikes, etc.;

    3. After 14 Days Return Period

    Please note that if we receive an exchange or return request after our 14-day exchange/return period, we will honour our warranty policy and help you fix the problem, but we will not be able to accept any exchange or return.
